TheGeorgeFloydriotsthathaveprecipitatedgreatchangesthroughoutAmericansocietywerenotspontaneousevents.Americansdidnotsuddenlyriseupinrighteousanger,taketothestreets,anddemandnotjustthatpolicedepartmentsbedefundedbutthatallthestructures,institutions,andsystemsoftheUnitedStates-allsupposedlyracist-beoverhauled.The12,000orsodemonstrationsand633relatedriotsthatfollowedFloyd’sdeathtookorganizationalmuscle.Themovement’sgriponinstitutionsfromtheclassroomtotheballparkrequiredideologicalcommitment.ThatmuscleandcommitmentwereprovidedbythevariousBlackLivesMatterorganizations.ThisbookexamineswhotheBLMleadersare,delvingintotheirbackgroundsandexposingtheiragendas-somethingthemediahassofarrefusedtodo.ThesepeopleareshowntobeavowedMarxistswhosaytheywanttodismantleourwayoflife.Alongwiththeirfellowactivists,theymakesavvyuseofsocialmediatospreadtheirmessageandorganizemarches,sit-ins,statuetumblings,andriots.In2020theyseizeduponthevideoshowingGeorgeFloyd’ssufferingasapretexttounleashanationwideinsurgency.Certainly,nopersonofgoodwillcouldobjecttothepropositionthat“blacklivesmatter“asmuchasanyotherhumanlife.ButAmericansneedtounderstandhowtheirlaudablemoralconcernisbeingexploitedforpurposesthatagreatmanyofthemwouldnotapprove.
